RACING SUCCESSES FOR QUEEN

(Rec. 11.30 p.m.) LONDON, April 21. The Queen enjoyed what must have been the most exciting day’s racing of her life yesterday at Kempton Park. She told her trainer, Captain Cecil BoydRochfort: “I would like a winner today as a birthday present’’ She was not disappointed. With four horses running she had two winners, one second and one third- Her birthday present of winning stakes was nearly £2OOO. The most exciting race for the Queen was the big race of the day, the 2000gns Trial Stakes. When her horse, Doutelle, won she danced with joy and hugged Princess Margaret. It was the third year in succession that the Queen had won the race.

QUEEN’S BIRTHDAY

(Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON. April 20. The Queen will be 31 tomorrow. She will give a luncheon party at Windsor. Prince Philip, the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret will be there.
