Canadian Elections On June 10

OTTAWA April 13. Canada’s Parliament was dissolved last night by the GovernorGeneral, Mr Vincent Massey, and June 10 was set as election day for a new House of Commons. At dissolution, the Liberals held 168 seats in the 265-member House; Conservatives- held 50; Co-operative Commonwealth Federation Party, 22; Social Credit, 15; independents, three; and seven seats were vacant.
