Amateur Cup To Bishop Auckland

(Rec. 9.30 p.m.) LONDON, April 13. Bishop Auckland beat Wycombe Wanderers 3-1 at Wembley Stadium today, to win the English Amateur Soccer Cup final fbr the third successive year. This is a record performance. They led 2-1 at half-time. It was Bishop Auckland’s tenth win in the 64-year-old history of the cup. They have been in six of the last eight finals, and today gave a magnificent display. The architect of Bishop Auckland’s success was the 36-year-old English and Olympic player. Bob Hardisty, playing in his sixth final.
