OVERSEAS LOTTERY WINNER

Company Secretary’s

£14.000 Prize

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 14. First prize of £14,000 in an overseas lottery has been won by Mr H. D. W. Stringer, of Wellington, the New Zealand secretary for J. C. Williamson Theatres Ltd.

Mr Stringer said he had not made up his mind about how he would spend the money. He said he was an Australian by birth and had been in New Zealand for 34 years. He had been taking overseas lottery tickets for the last 20 or 30 years he said, and had once won £lOO and collected numerous small prizes, but this was the first time he had “hit the jackpot.” The nom-de-plume of his winning tickets was “Want to Win.”
