18-Month Gaol Term For Film Star
ROME, April 11.
A magistrate today sentenced Elsa Martinelli, the Italian film star, to 18 months’ imprisonment for insulting three Rome municipal traffic policemen. Her lawyer. Mr Mario Pittaluga, said that he had lodged an appeal.
The “Daily Mail” quoted Miss Martinelli as saying that her remarks were directed at one man wearing civilian clothes after her car had been stopped for an alleged traffic offence.
