COCKER SPANIEL CLUB
Ribbon Parade The Zealand Kennel Club intended to make obedience trials a feature of future dog shows, said the president of the club (Mr M. K. McDermott), who judged two obedience trials at the Canterbury Cocker Spaniel Club’s recent ribbon parade. The beginner’s obedience trial was won bv an eight-months-old puppy, Gunwa Minette, owned by S. F. C. Wiffin. T. H. Hodge’s Rossmount Bon Bon was judged the best on parade. The parade, which was held at the New Brighton Trotting Club’s grounds, was judged by Mrs W. J. Heslop. Mrs A. Cooke was ring steward.

Anderson’s Keppelstone Rose 1, T. H. Hodge’s Nancy 2, F. and Mrs West’s Scarborough Lasker 3. Non-Breeders. —G. Hicken’s Scarborough Larry 1. Child handlers: Denise Wiffin 1, Ronald Hicken 2, Julie West 3. Beginners’ obedience test: S. F. C. Wiffin’s Gunwa Minette, 99 points, 1; G. Hicken’s Scarborough Larry and Miss J. C. M.
