Migrants from Europe.—The 27nation inter-governmental committee for European migration (1.C.E.M.) moved more than 130,000 ordinary European migrants overseas in 1956, which was nearly 10,000 more than in any previous year. The director of. 1.C.E.M., Mr Harold Tittman, said that about 48,000 of them went to the United States and some 40,000 to Australia.—Geneva, April 8.
