School Debating.— Teams from 12 secondary schools, including Timaru, Ashburton, Greymouth, and Hokitika will meet in Christchurch on April 13 and 14 for the secondary schools debating competitions organised by the Federated Catholic Clubs and Societies of New Zealand. The competition which is in five sections includes a debate, oratory, elocution, religious questions and an impromptu speech.
