One of Canterbury’s leading golfers and administrators, C. J. Ward, continues to give outstanding service to the game. This week he was reappointed a Canterbury selector, and re-appointed to the match committee of the Canterbury Provincial Golf Association. In the last year or two Ward has not met with the success in competitive golf that he enjoyed earlier, but in the Waitikiri open tournament last week-end he finished fifth, and he may well be a candidate for this year’s Freyberg Rosebowl team.
