Health Services Appointments

(New Zeaiana Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 9. Dr. N. T. Barnett, medical officer of health, Timaru, has been appointed medical officer of health, Wellington, in succession to Dr. I. J. Jeffrey, and Dr. L. S. Davis, Director of the Private Hospitals Division and Director of Child Hygiene, will succeed Dr. F. S. Mac Lean as director of the Division of Public Hygiene. Dr. Mac Lean retired from his duties with the department on Friday and in the course of his five months accumulated leave will represent New Zealand with an officer of the Department of External Affairs at the World Health Organisation conference at Geneva in May.
