N.Z. TRAP-SHOOTING TITLES
Next Year’s Meeting
For Timaru
(New Zealand Press Association) HAMILTON, April 9. The venue for the 1958 New Zealand clay target shooting championships was decided at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Gun Clubs’ Association in Hamilton last night.
The championships were allotted to Timaru as one of South Canterbury’s centennial year attractions. Officers elected were:—
President, Mr T. M. Glenn (Hamilton); North Island vice-president, Mr W. R. Robinton (Hastings); South Island vice-president, Mr D. S. Dorreen (Christchurch); North Island executive, Messrs C. Darrall (Morrinsville), W. C. Nix (Featherston), S. Perry (Huntly), J. R. Russel (Whangarei), B. W. Williams (Hastings); South Island executive, Messrs Allan Brown (Lauder), W. R. Erinsley (Dunedin), T. W. Elliott (Balclutha), D. S. Harrison (Methven), and L. W. Kerr (Rangiora); North Island'referees, Messrs W. B. Cattanach (Wellington), A. D. Meaney (Morrinsville), R. C. Morris (Masterton), S. Perry (Huntly), D. Simmons (Auckland), and I. Sutherland (Palmerston North); South Island referees, Messrs E. G. Amyes (Dunsandel), C. Booker (Christchurch). L. J. Eden (Motukarara), D. N. Elliott (Balclutha), L. W. Kerr (Rangiora), and W. J. Leask (Lauder): auditor, Mr H. T. Weir (Dunedin).
