CYCLIST KILLED IN AUCKLAND

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 22. One cyclist was killed and another injured when they were struck by a car outside one of the freezing-works at Westfield at, 10.50 o’clock last night. The man. killed was: Allen Barnes, aged 44, a freezingworks overseer, married, with four children, of 58 Prices street, Otahuhu. The man injured is Gordon Ronald Bain, aged 42, a labourer, of 195 Rangitoto road, Papatoetoe, who received a broken collarbone and head injuries. Mr Bain was admitted to Middlemore Hospital, where his condition today is fair. The men were cycling towards Otahuhu when the accident occurred.
