The Australian tennis star, Lewis Hoad, who had his back in a plaster cast for a month, has improved so rapidly that the cast was removed on Wednesday. Hoad injured his back in a semi-final of the Australian championships on January 26. He will begin light training, under his medical specialist, immediately.
