HOME NURSING COURSE
St. John Ambulance
Lectures
A seven-weeks’ course in home nursing for adult men and women who wish to learn how to look after the sick and injured in their homes will begin on April 3 in the rooms of the St. John Ambulance Association.
The course, which will consist of one lecture a week, is one of a series of courses in first aid and allied subjects which are conducted by the association throughout the year, said the secretary, Major-General G. B. Parkinson. A tutor sister from the Christchurch Public Hospital will be in charge of the tuition, assisted by experienced members from the St. John Ambulance nursing brigade.
In the past between 40 and 50 persons have attended the course, but more could be enrolled if there is a demand, said, General Parkinson. It was desirable but not essential that those who attended had some knowledge of first aid.
Those persons who wished to enrol should do so as soon as possible, he said.
