25 Africans To Be Hanged

Twenty-five persons—24 Africans and a Cape coloured —will be hanged at Pretoria prison tomorrow morning, says Reuter’s Pretoria correspondent. It will be the highest number ever to be executed in South Africa on one All but three were sentenced to death for the murder of two European and three African policemen during a search for marijuana in Natal in February, 1956.
