Fate Of Imre Nagy (Rec. 8 p.m.) VIENNA, March 10 The former Prime Minister of Hungary (Mr Imre Nagy) and several of his chief associates are at the Rumanian capital, Bucharest, according to reports reaching Vienna today from Rumania. The reports, from usually reliable sources, said that the Nagy group had been taken to Bucharest from the former summer residence of the Rumanian kings at Sinaia, 70 miles south-east of the capital Mr Nagy and his associates were arrested by the Russians at Budapest during the Hungarian uprising and were sent to Rumania. Today’s reports said that the Nagy prisoners had been divided into two groups. The first group, including Mr Nagy himself, Geza Loszoncy, Ferenc Janosi, Vasarhelyi, Haraszti. Fazekas and Mrs Rajk (widow of the executed Foreign Minister. Laszlo Rajk), was sent first to Doftana, a little village some 20 miles south of Sinaia on the road to Ploesti, and later to Bucharest There they are housed in a Communist Party sanatorium on the outskirts of the city. The second group, including Zoltan Szanto. Ferenc Donath. Zoltan Vas and Lukacs, were taken back to Budapest for interrogation, and were now believed to be in Hungary awaiting release. It was believed in Budapest political circles, the Rumanian reports said today, that if Mr Nagy returned to Hungary it would be only for his trial as a traitor. It was similarly believed that the second group would shortly be released and would support the present Janos Kadar regime. Deportation Order In Fiji (Rec. 11 p.m.) SUVA, March 11.
