MALVERN GAMES Slow scoring by Greendale and a low score by Sheffield were the two most notable features of Saturday’s play in the Malvern Cricket SubAssociation’s competition. . Greendale batted for 150 minutes for 70 runs, and then dismissed Sheffield in an hour for 34. Greendale’s success in dismissing Sheffield for this score was mainly attributable to the accurate pace bowling of F. Adams, who took six for 11, and poor batting by Sheffield. D. Gunn (78) and T. McGowan (51) batted well for Darfield juniors against United, and Gunn completed a good double by taking six wickets for 58. For United, G. T. Wright showed a return to form by scoring ■67. In the match between South Malvern and Darfield, R. Stuart (South Malvern) batted right through the innings to retire with 60. Another South Malvern player, N. Rothwell, secured the best bowling figures of the day with seven for 34. Details :■— Greendale 70 (G. Ridgen 18; A. Wright four for 22, C. Cro.y three for '24) beat Sheffield 34 (F.
