MISSING TAX OFFICIAL

Police Search Intensified (New Zealand Press Association) ROTORUA, March 8.

Two more detectiv* 1 have been assigned to Rotorua to assist in further investigations into the disappearance of the Inland Revenue inquiry officer, Sydney Patrick Fisk, said the superintendent of the C. 1.8., Mr F. N. Aplin, before leaving Rotorua this morning. Detective-Sergeant A. I. Knapp, who arrived here with Mr Aplin from Wellington on Wednesday, will also remain. Mr Aplin said investigations would be reorganised on an “intensified scale.” » Fisk disappeared on December 5. The Government car he was driving was found abandoned at the summit, about 15 miles on the Lake Waikaremoana side of Te Whaiti.
