Markets Quiet But Firm At Close Markets were quiet but firm on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday. A fair turnover of B.H.P. rights was recorded at the higher price of 16s sd. British Tobacco and Mt. Lyell were firmer at 29s and 25s respectively. Steady prices were paid for A.N.Z. Bank, Ampol rights, Hays and Nivens. Five parcels of Government and local body stock and debentures were sold.
