New York Strike
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) NEW YORK, February 21. Settlement of the three-weeks’ harbour craft strike at the Port of New York was announced early today. Four hundred tugboats, small oil tankers and barges, and other harbour craft had been tied up by the strike of 4000 men. The agreement—which is subject to ratificatipn by members —provides for an 11 per cent, wage increase in the next two years.
