90™ BIRTHDAY
Mr J. Collins, Of CheviotMr John Collins, of Cheviot, recently celebrated his ninetieth birthday at an evening party at the home of Mrs D. M. Burnett, Cheviot. Relatives and friends travelled from as far as Christ-, church and-Kaikoura to congratulate Mr Collins. Seven of his 13 grandchildren attended the party. Assisted by his two elder daughters, Mesdames M. Eaton and R. Harneiss, of Parnassus, Mr Collins cut his birthday cake. Musical items were given by Mrs F. Partington and Miss C. Morgan (piano-accordion), Miss Anne Eaton and Mr Ken McCutcheon (guitar), and’ Mr Ron White (piano). OVERSEAS LEAGUE.
