Flair Still Favourite

Flair. Obelisk, and Dinner Chat hold their places as favourites for the Gore Racing Club Handicap, the main event and first leg of the double on the second day of the Gore Racing Club’s summer meeting tomorrow.
Marjo, which was fatally injured during the week, and Sawdust, were announced as scratchings from the first leg today. An interesting newcomer to the field will be the hack stayer, Allan, which will start for the first leg in preference to the Mandeville Highweight, for which he has already been withdrawn. Allan's form under big weights has been particularly good, and he may cause an upset. The second leg will be on the Charlton Handicap. . The weather has been fine and the track will be hard and fast. Selections:— 11.30 a.m.—Gordon Snakes: Callevo, Incandescent, Kinsimm. 12.15 p.m.-Mandeville High-weight Handicap: Dunblane, Darky Pilot. Yankee Modesta. 1 p.m.—Apprentices’ Hack Handicap: Our Lorraine, Brianbra, Glenpark.
1.45 p.m.—Gore Racing Club Han dicap: Flair. Obelisk, Dinner Chat.
2.30 p.m.—Riversdale Plate: Reilig Oran, Cadillac, Miss Callander. 3.5 p.m.—Mataura Senior Hack Handicap: Now Listen. Belle o Buchan, Lady Eden. 4 p.m.—Charlton Handicap; Mijiji, Montrose, Kasr-el-nil.
4.45 p.m.—Farewell Handicap. Well Cut, Meridian, Demolish.
