Timely Shipment Of N.Z. Clothing
Relief workers dispensing clothing to refugees in Hamburg, Germany, had nothing left to give them when a shipment of New Zealand CORSO clothing reached them late in December.
“We want to thank you most heartily for this shipment; as it came on a day when we had nothing left to meet the many calls for help that come to us every day.” says a letter received recently by CORSO from Hilfswerk der Evangelischen. the distributing body. “Our camp is now more than filled with about 5000 persons. They do not bring more than they wear. They need everything,” continues the letter. ‘‘lf we only meet the most urgent needs, we would help about 100 to 150 persons every week. Unfortunately it is only very seldom that we can fill every request. Men’s clothing is lacking almost completely.
‘‘Please forward the thanks we always receive when we hand out the gifts, to these people in a far away country who help to carry our burden.’’ the letter says.
