Gladiolus Society.— So success.

ful was Monday evening’s table show that the Christchurch Gladiolus Society has changed all future show dates to Monday evenings. Formerly the Sunday morning displays were poorly attended and as few as 30 entries were received. Last evening a party of Hungarian refugees who were using an adjoining room at the Y.W.C.A. building swelled the enthusiastic attendance to more than 50. The judges were pleased with the standard of the 150 exhibits, and by decorative displays. Mrs 11. D. Robson is helping the society to popularise miniature gladioli.
