Two Lunatics Recaptured
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) NOTTINGHAM. Jan. 21. The police today recaptured the two dangerous lunatics who had terrorised the countryside near Nottingham since their escape from a criminal mental institution last Friday. The men were caught when thej rode into Newark, near Nottingham. on a stolen motor-cycle. A crowd of people helped a policeman to jostle the men off the machine to end one of Britain’s biggest manhunts for years. The men—Frank Ellis, aged 27, and Richard Maskill, aged 19— put up no resistance. They were taken to the local police station.
One of the men was armed with a sawn-off shotgun when he was captured.
