EGYPT’S VIEW

(Rec. 11.30 p.m.) CAIRO. Jan. 21. Diplomatic quarters in Cairo said today that Egypt might revise her attitude towards the United Nations Emergency Force if Israel did not comply with the United Nations withdrawal resolution.

The Indian representative at the United Nations, Mr Krishna Menon, has already said India would withdraw her forces if required by Egypt to do so. It is understood in Cairo that Jugoslav and Indonesian contingents would probably follow suit.

Meanwhile the U.N.E.F is building up. and is expected to reach a strength of 6000 men with the arrival soon of a further 500 Brazilian officers and men. The first 49 Brazilians arrived yesterday at Abu Sueir.
