Situation—An anti-cyclone covers central and northern New Zealand. Disturbed westerly conditions prevail over the south of the country. Forecast:— Canterbury and Kaikoura coast: Fresh to strong north-east winds: fine and warm. Outlook: fine. Remainder of Marlborough and Nelson: Moderate to fresh westerly winds; fine and warm. Outlook: fine.
Buller and North Westland: Moderate to fresh southwesterly winds; fair weather; moderate temperatures. Outlook: fair. South Westland: Moderate to fresh westerly winds: occasional rain or showers developing from the south; moderate temperatures. Outlook: occasional showers.
