RAILWAYS TOURNEY AT TIMARU

(From Our Own Reporter) TIMARU, January 21. Middle District A team won the South Island Railways Bowling Tournament held at Timaru during the week-end. The winning four, from Oamaru, were: W. Lawrence (s), D. Laurie, D. Anderson, and C. Dickie, who beat the West Coast A four in the final. The West Coast team was W. Deady (s), R. Bradley, Wright, and A. J. Bradley. Mr E. G. Harris, South Canterbury president, extended a welcome to the visiting bowlers from the West Coast, Canterbury, Middle District, Otago, and Southland, and also to Mr C. H. Bray, representing the New Zealand Railways Commission, and Mr C. ESmith, the vice-president of the New Zealand Railways Bowling Association, who presented the prizes.
