Trueco’s Third Win At Meeting

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 3. The Christchurch visitor, Trueco. scored his third success for the meeting when he outclassed the President's Handicap field at Epsom today. Trueco was pocketed on the rails until the home turn. When an opening came he forged through and jogged to the finish two lengths and a half ahead of Bartender.

The hot favourite, Captain Star, scored just as easily in the second leg, the Freyberg Handicap. The double paid £ll 5s for £l. The totalisator on-course handled £131,642 ss. including £14,270 15s on doubles, against £144,771 10s last year.
