Quadruple Suicide Pact Fails
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 7 p.m.) NIKKO (Japan), Dec. 26. A quadruple suicide pact that failed left four young lovers in critical condition in hospital at this resort town today. Police said that two men and two women tried to kill themselves by swallowing poison on Christmas Eve. One couple first decided on a joint suicide pact because they were related and could not marry The other couple, whom they met at this resort, had a similar difficulty and decided to join them.
