Comet Sighted

Kaho-arend-roland, a comet which was discovered on November 7, was seen last night by an Auckland astronomer, Mr R. A. Mclntosh, of Mount Eden. Some 50,000 miles in diameter and about 180 million miles away, the comet is travelling rapidly towards the earth. Mr Mclntosh said it will be closest to the earth about the beginning of April, when it will be only a mere 28 million miles away.— (P.A.)
