MAN IMPRISONED FOR SIX WEEKS (New Zealana Press Association) AUCKLAND, December 25. Searched by police after he approached a IT-year-old girl in an Auckland dance hall on Saturday night and grasped her round the throat, Darkie Harrison, aged 23. was found to have a spring-loaded knife pushed down into his left sock and shoe. His behaviour, and the knife-carry-ing. brought him to the Magistrate’s Court yesterday to .admit charges of assault and possession of an offensive weapon without authority or excuse. Harrison told the Magistrate: “I’ve nothing to say.” Mr F. McCarthy, S.M., sentenced him to fix weeks’ imprisonment.
