CITY COMPETITIONS SOCIETY
AMENDMENTS MADE TO RULES Two amendments were made to the rules of the Christchurch Competitions Society at a special general meeting held on Monday evening. It is now possible for children of members of the executive to compete in the competitions. The other change was that nominations for officers may now be made at a special general meeting instead of being made in writing seven days previously. After these changes had been endorsed by the meeting, the officers and executive announced their resignations. The result of the ensuing election was as follows: president, Mr R. Thackwell; vice-president, Mr J. T. O’Brien; treasurer. Mr C. Tippens; executive, Mr Sedley Wells, Mrs Luke, Mr Thackwell, sen., Mrs McKissock, Mr Williams, Mrs Colthart. Miss D. Saunders, Mr Hamburger, Mrs Fuller, Miss Stevens.
