CONTROLLER OF WILDLIFE

MR H. KELLY SUCCEEDS MR YEREX

• (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, November 22. A well-known Wellington sportsman. Mr H. D. Kelly, has been appointed Controller of the Wildlife Branch of the Internal Affairs Department. He succeeds Mr G. F. Yerex, who retired recently. As divisional clerk of the branch for the last six years. Mr Kelly has been concerned with all aspects of the administration of wildlife work. This has given him close contact with the acclimatisation societies throughout New Zealand.

Mr Kelly was a keen tramper and deerstalker for many years, and he has covered much of New Zealand’s back country on foot. Mr Kelly, who is 48, w r as educated at Wellington College and Nelson College, and he later took a B.A. degree at Victoria University College.
