SHAREMARKET INDICES
PRICES FALL IN NEW YORK AND LONDON Share prices in London and New York continue to reflect market pessimism over the international situation. Industrial ordinary shares traded m London, as measured by the “Financial Times” index, reached their lowest point for three years last week and have since fallen further. New York prices have been easing for more than a week in active trading. The latest Dow Jones index figure for common industrial stocks is 470.07. only 7.72 dollars above the lowest point for the year. Comparative indices are:—
