STATEMENT CAUSES SUSPENSION
(New Zealana Press Association) AUCKLAND, November 21. W - Scott was suspended from the New Zealand Communist Party today because of the statement he made on Tuesday opposing Russia’s armed intervention in Hungary. A member of the party’s national and political committees, Mr Scott is a former editor of the party’s weekly newspaper, the "People’s Voice.” The paper announced today that the political committee had suspended him f° r making a public statement to the capitalist press outlining his personal minority disagreement with the policy of the party,” and had recommended to the national committee that he be expelled.
