Territorial Officer Candidates

Nine candidates out of 28 passed a South Island territorial officer selection board in Christchurch. The president was Brigadier J. T. Burrows, the vice-president Major E. H. Maxwell, and other members were Majors R. G. Aitken. F. A Bishop, E. W. Boyle, and W. L. Dillon. The successful candidates were Gunner B. R. Bayley, of Edendale, Private G. S. Bowron, of Waimate, Gunner N. E. Clark, of Invercargill, Private C. McL. Eggers, of Invercargill. Private E. G. Forde, of Invercargill. Private D. B. Hutton, of Hokitika, Gunner W. D. Ogle, of Invercargill. Private J. W. Olson, of Hokitika, and Private G. B. Quinn, of Westport.
