Port Levy-Brighton Pier-Diamond Harbour race, over 20 miles, for the Studholme memorial cup. Once clear of the Port Levy heads, V ?st ,na set a course direct for the pier, while Tuscana stood further out to sea—a manoeuvre which proved very successful. At Taylor’s Mistake, she squared off towards the pier and set a spinnaker. On the leg back to Diamond Harbour, the wind lightened further. Tuscana crossed the line first, but lost too much time during the race to gain the handicap. Results were:— Haines Memorial Trophy—Varuna (I. Treleavan) 1, lolanthe (N. Arrow) 2, Murare (W. H.
