A record parade of 784 members of tne St. John Ambulance Brigade was held in Cranmer square yesterday afternoon, when the four units of the Christchurch corps assembled for their annual inspection. It was the first time for many years that the parade had been held out of doors and also the first time for a long period that all of the units nad been drawn up together. Altogether, with the district and corps °t ficers included, the total was 800. which easily exceeded the numiaL s a J the special parade in February, * or the Commander-in-Chief of the St. John Ambulance Brigade (Lieutenant-General Sir Otto Lund).
