JUNIOR CHAMBER INTERNATIONAL
DELEGATES VISIT CHRISTCHURCH
The guests at the weekly luncheon of the Canterbury Junior Chamber of Commerce on Thursday included four overseas delegates who were returning home from the Junior Chamber International conference, which concluded on Wednesday, in Wellington. They were Mr Chiew Wing Lee. president of the Singapore Junior Chamber; Mr A. Martin. London; Mr S. Nicholson, president of the Rockhampton Chapter of the Australian Junior Chambers; and Mr G. Daniel, of Brisbane, the Australian national president. The guest speaker, Mr J. L. Hay. spoke of overseas developments in management training. Other departing delegates will be passing through Christchurch airport in the next few days. On Monday a tour party will be officially welcomed to Christchurch at the Chamber of Commerce Hall. Mr Ralph Smith. New Zealand president and newly-elected Junior Chamber International vice-president for Oceania, returned to Christchurch vesterday. Two Hong Kong delegates, Messrs Y. C. Hui and Mr Francis Chen, also arrived.
BUSINESS SESSIONS CONCLUDE (New Zealana Press Association) WELLINGTON. November 15. With the election of a new world president. Mr Ira D. Kaye, of San Pedro, California, and choice of a site for the 1958 congress, Minneapolis, Minnesota, the eleventh world congress of Junior Chamber International concluded its business sessions in Wellington.
