tjilt-lsdged Market Weak, Shares Inactive Share turnover on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday was the smallest daily total of the year. The only price variation shown was in Ross and Glendining, which advanced 3d to sell at 25s 3d.
The market for Government .stock was weak. A large parcel of the 3% 1962-64 loan was sold at £B9 2s 6d. This price is 2s 6d below the price paid in Christchurch on Tuesday, and allowing for the extra accrued interest, advances the redemption yield to £4 15s lOd. A small parcel of 3% 1964-66 stock, sold at ss, will return the purchaser, with redemption. £4 14s lOd.
