SIX YOUTHS SENT TO BORSTAL

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. November 16.

Six youths were sentenced to Borstal training when they appeared before Mr Justice Turner in the Supreme Court today on charges of raping a 19-year-old girl at Ruatoki, near Whakatane, on October 22.

They were Sonny Melbourne, aged 17. a student. Mani Temo. aged 18. a railway hand. Te Mauri Koata. aged 17. a farm labourer. Raureti Pei. aged 19. a workman. Sidney Purewa, aged 18. a farm hand, and Tauroa Pieta, aged 18. a workman.
