There was a good attendance at the annual solo competitions of Derry’s Brass Band. The judge was Mr F. J. Turner, and the accompanist was Mrs M. McNair Results were:—Learners, D. Taylor, 89, 3. Open.—B. Aldridge and K Marks, 91 points, equal, 1; N. Hobbs. 88. 3. Redmond Shield. B. Aldridge. H. E. Cox Cup. B. Aldridge. H. Evans’ Cup. N Hobbs.
