Wellington, for the 27 hours after the time of issue, is:— Situation.—An extensive depression with its main centre over the North Island, but covering most of New Zealand, is moving slowly eastwards. Forecast: Canterbury.—Winds from an easterly quarter, fresh to strong in exposed areas north of Banks Peninsula, otherwise mainly moderate; cloudy to overcast; drizzle or rain; temperatures tending cooler. Outlook: coastal showers. Marlborough.—Fresh south-easterlies prevailing in exposed areas; cloudy skies; showery periods; temperatures tending cooler. Outlook: coastal Showers. Buller and Nelson.—Moderate winds, mainly easterlies; occasional rain at first, otherwise fair to cloudy, apart from scattered showers; moderate day temperatures. Outlook: mainly fair. Westland.—Some showers early in north Westland, otherwise fair to cloudy: mild day temperatures; light or moderate variable winds. Outlook; fair.
