Lake Kaniere Scenic Reserve
An area of 18.443 acres near Lake Kaniete, Westland, has been declared a scenic reserve, according to the Gazette, and the following have been appointed to control the reserve: the Mayor of Hokitika, the chairman of the Westland County Council, the Commissioner of Crown Lands for the Westland Land District, the commodore of the Lake Kaniere Yacht and Power Boat Club, all ex-officio, Messrs A. R. Elcock, J. Preston, P. E. L. Renton, J. N. Robinson, and R. Ross.
