She is Sandra Lawn, a daughter of Mr and Mrs E. V. Lawn, of 27 Swmburn street, Dannevirke. She w ® s saved from almost certain death by a shrub and the efforts of her rescuer, Mr L. Woon, of Hastings. Mr Woon was accompanied on ms climb by Mr D. Epnlett. who was first to the scene. He had been called by Sandra’s companion. . She and her friend had set off to the camping grounds to gather wattle flowers from trees growing near tne edee of the cliff. ~ While Sandra was standing near the edge of the cliff, the ground under her feet collapsed, sending her toppling 40ft over the edge. Messrs Woon and Epplett had to aporoach from almost 200 yards away, hampered by undergrowth at the foot of the cliff face. Sandra suffered bruises and abrasions. but it was not necessary for her to be taken to hospital.
