TEACHERS’ TOURNAMENT The twenty-fifth anniversary tournament of the Teachers’ Golf Day Committee was held at Christchurch. The tournament is an annual event and teachers trom the West Coast and the Nortn Island were present in addition to those from Christchurch. At an anniversary luncheon, the guests included Mr C. T. Aschman, who was an original member of the committee. Mr Aschman is 85 years of age. Mr A. R. Blank, the retiring president, presented the Pedagogic Bowl to A. R. Bond. Bond’s score was 75, 3—72. Officers elected were: President, Mr J. A. Masterton; secretary, Mr L. Whatman; committee, Messrs S. Gower, A. B. Cottee, and C. L. Harper. Results of matches played were:— Grade matches, played together with match for Pedagogic Bowl.—A grade: M. E. Chapple, 86, 11—75; P. Brakle, 84, 9 75. B grade: H. Sparrow, 02, 15 —77; R.

E. Porteous, 93, 14—79. C grade: J. B. Mackay, 100, 22—78. Non-handicap Match. —J. Broomfield. 111, 24—87. Canadian foursome of 15 holes for Anderson trophy, won by A. R. Blank and C. W.
