Running Repairs On A Tightrope

SAINT NAZAIRE (France). Aug. 20 A 25-year-old German acrobat yesterday repaired a motor-cycle which coughed into silence and stopped while balanced on a tightrope 130 feet above the ground. Alphonse Traber-Show was demonstrating his aerial skill when his motorcycle slithered to a halt in a cloud of smoke during an open-air acrobatics display. Women screamed, and the music blaring from the loudspeakers was switched off. Traber-Show deftly caught a bag of tools thrown to him. changed the spark plugs, and completed his journey to the tumultuous cheers of the crowd.
