JUDGE STILWELL

OPPOSITION BY PUBLIC SERVANTS (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 19. The annual conference of the Public Service Association endorsed its executive committee’s opposition to a renewal of Judge Stilwell’s term as chairman of the Government Services’ Tribunal, and expressed dissatisfaction with existing machinery for fixing wages and salaries. The following resolution was carried:— “That, in view of the imminent expiry of the term of office of the chairman of the Government Services Tribunal (Judge Stilwell), this conference endorses the executive committee’s opposition to renewal of his term, and instructs the incoming executive committee to make representations to the Government accordingly. ’ ’
