Property Offered to Dunedin
“Glenfalloch,” the beautiful 30-acre property of the late Mr Philip Barling, will be offered to the city of Dunedin “at a fair price” in accordance with the will of Mr Barling, who died on July 1. Should the city decide against acquiring the property, the Government will be given the first option to purchase it. Failing that, it will be offered by auction for public sale. “Glenfalloch,” which overlooks Ctago harbour near Macandrew Bay, has perhaps the finest woodland garden in New Zealand. The property was established more than 80 years ago by Mr George Grey-Russell, and passed into the hands of Mr Philip Earling about 40 years ago.
